Gary Grosso

I will be leading the North Central WV Grade 5 Homeschool Group starting September 8, 2020.

I have lived at 55 Mountain Run Road in Masontown, West Virginia, since October 2006. Before that I lived in Charleston, WV; before that in Ann Arbor, MI, where I moved in 1984. I grew up in the New York City suburbs of Long Island, where I was born in 1953. My mother was a kindergarten teacher and my father taught junior high math.

I have 4 children ages 35, 33, 24, and 10. Mostly they have attended public school, but I have homeschooled each of them at some point. This includes teaching first through third grade and also eighth grade through high school graduation.

My wife and I are approved by WV DHHR to watch children in our home; we currently care for 6 children from 4 families. I am a Read Aloud West Virginia volunteer and have read to every grade from kindergarten through 5th grade at West Preston School. I also have led 3 semsters of tech-based after-school activity groups, given a “Tech Futures” presentation to 15 classes, and, since April 2020 have led 3 remote “Tech Club” multi-session project arcs.
